In order for teachers to teach and students to learn, there must be a good environment. Students must be secure, comfortable and free of distractions in the classroom. How can a teacher teach when there is noise either outside or inside the classroom? Yet in many classrooms, there is a “noise in the classroom” called a LACK OF DISCIPLINE.
Education in Maine – Lesson One
Every parent in Maine should desire the best education for their most valuable resources, their children. Parents must be convinced that their children are being protected in the place of education, the schools. Parents want to believe that at the bus stop or on the bus, their children are safe. Parents have the absolute right to know what their children are being taught.
York County Republican Milking Team Defeats Democrats!
On August 26, 2022, the Acton Fair sponsored the annual milking contest between the York County Republicans and the Democrats. At about 4 PM, two cows entered a covered arena with open sides and sawdust floor. Fair goers surrounded the event to cheer on their favored party.
Discrimination in Maine
One of the great things about campaigning is listening to people. I figure God created us with two ears and one mouth. So we need to learn to listen to people twice as much as we speak. The problem is that our homes and schools do not teach us to listen.
COVID-19
I have had the wonderful opportunity to talk with different people in my Senate District 32 race. I was horrified by a recent conversation with a woman who told me that she had fallen and desired medical attention but was denied a doctor’s appointment.
Assault Weapons
President Biden has taken aim at “assault weapons” when he recently signed the Safer Community Act into law. The leader of the Democratic Party said “I am determined to ban these weapons again and high capacity magazines … I’m not going to stop until I do it.” This ban was lifted in 2004 and it has now been reinstated.
Recession is Here!
It is the middle of August 2022 and over the last two years we have seen inflation that did not have to happen. But our foolish leaders in Washington and Augusta have dug in their heels and tried to force on “We The People” an agenda that was doomed from the start to hurt Americans.
