I have had the wonderful opportunity to talk with different people in my Senate District 32 race.  I was horrified by a recent conversation with a woman who told me that she had fallen and desired medical attention but was denied a doctor’s appointment.  Allegedly she was asked, “Are you vaccinated against COVID 19?”  She responded that she had not been vaccinated. Then she was told that she could not have an appointment because she had not received the vaccine!

What have we come to in Maine, when a doctor’s office tells a citizen that they will not see a person who has not been vaccinated?  It sounds like discrimination to me. My understanding is that the medical community exists to help the citizens of the community.

I understand this person’s hesitancy in not getting the shots.  I know of people who received the “jab” and then died.  Is there a connection?  This lady personally has a friend who had severe reactions after receiving shots. In fairness, I have friends that seem to have had no reactions.  Since this is a fairly new vaccine, maybe it is too early to tell.

I know this: that if my dog got three shots in a year to prevent rabies and then got rabies, I would ask questions.  Isn’t that just common sense and logical?

At a Presidential Town meeting on July 21, 2021 President Biden said: “You will be OK; you will not get Covid if you have the vaccinations.”  Now a year later, he has COVID, even though he had been fully vaccinated, as well as receiving two booster shots. Now he is taking additional medicine to fight COVID. So what is wrong with this picture?
