Every parent in Maine should desire the best education for their most valuable resources, their children. Parents must be convinced that their children are being protected in the place of education, the schools. Parents want to believe that at the bus stop or on the bus, their children are safe. Parents have the absolute right to know what their children are being taught. Parents have the ability, through their legislators, school boards and their voices at the school board meetings to determine what their children are taught. If your elected officials do not listen, then vote them out of office and run for the positions yourself. This is the “Republican” way. Remember we are a Republic not a Democracy!
In Maine, our schools should be run by “we the people”. We must not allow our elected officials to force their ideology on our children nor on parents. Did you know that at the Republican Convention in Augusta in 2022, Republicans voted to remove sex indoctrination from the public schools in Maine? This matter was to be left to the parents. It does not make sense for the homosexual agenda to be forced upon our children. Yet, it has been reported that “One Maine”, along with the Maine Teachers Association and the Mills Administration (through the Maine Department of Education) is heading down that road! This foolishness encourages other alternatives to education, such as school choice. Our leaders then criticize private education, instead of fixing the problem.
Parents, you will find in me a legislator who is opposed to special interests in our schools. It is time for common sense in education. Let us return to education that emphasizes the basics that the older generation was brought up with, and not the “wokeness” of today!

Remember in this election, friends do not let friends vote for Democrats!
