Mainers know that their economy is bad. Just look at the increased prices and you will know they are hurting! The economy is the NUMBER ONE problem we are facing, according to the polls that I have seen.
When the previous Republican President left office, prices were much lower. But when the current Democratic President took office, in just two years, inflation has become the worst it has been in forty years. We must change direction by not voting for Democrats at all levels on November 8th!
The Democratic Chief Executive Mr. Biden has continually lied to us about inflation. Stating two sources, these lies can be found in an article written by Claire Brighn, posted on May 20, 2022 (printed by AMAC Newline) and entitled Biden: The Great Pinocchio King? To quote from the article:
“The first cause of inflation is a once-in-a-century pandemic…And this year we have a second cause — a second cause: Mr. Putin’s war in Ukraine.” –May 10, 2022
“Even a cursory glance at economic data over the past two years shows inflation was on the upward trend long before Putin invaded Ukraine. And COVID-19 is hardly to blame – even liberal economists citethe trillions in spending passed by Democrats in Congress and signed into law by Biden (most notably the $1.9 trillion ostensibly marked for “COVID relief”) as the primary cause of rising inflation. On December 1 of last year, with CPI surging, Treasury Secretary Yellen conceded in a hearing that the $1.9 trillion “did boost demand, and that is one of several factors that are involved in inflation.” Olivier Blanchard, former IMF chief, had also previously warned that the $1.9 trillion “could overheat the economy so badly as to be counterproductive.” A recent Morgan Stanley report confirms this widely held prediction, saying that despite an economy already recovering from the pandemic at the time, “the [$1.9 trillion stimulus package] was what turbocharged consumption and drove inflation to 40-year highs.”
Now that Brighn has debunked the Democratic Party lies, no Mainer with any common sense should vote Democratic in this election. We should respond to our financial hurt by saying, “no more” to the social elites! When a Red Wave washes over Maine, we will send a clear message to Augusta and Washington, D.C.
